Living Alternatives* was founded in 1982 to provide help and hope for young women and their families experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.We provide friendship, support, and assistance during this time of uncertainty and difficult choices through three practical services.

The Pregnancy Resource Center offers free pregnancy tests, ultra-sounds and supportive help to women facing the first moment of a positive pregnancy test.

Fatherheart Maternity Home** provides a safe haven where a young woman can live and receive care as she makes important decisions about the future for herself and for her baby.

The Loving Alternative Adoption Agency** provides counseling and an adoption alternative for mothers who choose to place their baby with an adoptive family.

Since 1982, this caring organization has impacted the lives of thousands of East Texans, and since its founding, more than 70 similar agencies have been started in the USA and abroad.
